In Ecological Justice, United Nations, What's New

Today is the annual celebration of World Environment Day! Since 1974, this day has been renowned for environmental action. It encourages governments, businesses, celebrities and citizens to focus efforts on pressing a specific environmental issue. Last year 460 faith-based organizations took a significant leadership role and took actions by planting trees, cleaning rivers, and organizing advocacy campaigns.

This year, the theme is BIODIVERSITY which is a concern that is both urgent and existential.

The host country is Columbia which has put together a wide-ranging series of events featuring experts on biodiversity issues from around the world.

Here is some video from the event.
