The Temple of Understanding (TOU) is proud to again collaborate with AfriAus iLEAC, Lead Integrity, and Thimlela- STREAM and begin collaboration with Foundation for Child Rights (Malawi) in work intended to drive systemic change, increasing women and girls’ leadership towards even more systemic change. This session, a parallel event at the 70 th UN Commission on the Status of Women, is also part of the TOU’s Eco Justice for All series and Women’s Initiative. It brings together women leading in diverse fields to build mutual understanding of our strategies and contributions towards systemic change in diverse realms. This hybrid session will be held in person at the Church Center at the UN in NYC, Second Floor, on March 16 th at 2:30 PM ET, with hybrid (Zoom) participation.
Changing Narratives- From Survival to Leadership: A holistic Women’s and Girl’s Co-Empowerment through Legal Reform, Education, Economic, and Eco-Friendly Participation
This event, and others in the series, bring together organizations working at the nexus of human rights, legal empowerment, quality education, socio-economic inclusion, and environmental kinship models to demonstrate holistic, community-driven approaches to co-empowerment. It highlights how integrated strategies can transform systems that currently keep women and girls in survival mode, into positioning women and girls as intergenerational agents of justice, leadership, and integral ecological balance.
