Dr. Jyotsna Singh, Temple of Understanding India Foundation
Trustee of Temple of Understanding India, her initiatives reflect a lifelong dedication to intergenerational education, artistic expression, and peace among diverse communities.
Dr. Jyotsna Singh is a philosopher and cultural leader with a PhD in Philosophy from Delhi University. As the founder and director of the Dara Shikoh Centre in Srinagar, she has created a pioneering space for youth engagement, bringing together experts to share insights on the Himalayan region’s rich cultural and natural diversity.
She directs the Amar Mahal Museum & Library in Jammu, playing a key role in educational outreach and cultural preservation. As Trustee of the Temple of Understanding India, Dr. Singh actively promotes interfaith harmony and ecological justice, offering prayers and leadership at global interfaith forums.
She is also the curator and driving force behind the Tawi Festival in Jammu, a landmark celebration of regional heritage, arts, and dialogue that inspires inclusivity and the preservation of pluralistic traditions. Her initiatives reflect a lifelong dedication to intergenerational education, artistic expression, and peace among diverse communities.
