Hello! I am Hanna Mirgorodschi. I am 22 years old and come from Bremen, Germany. This month I am graduating from the University of St. Andrews, with a bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology and Sustainable Development.
My degree subjects truly capture my interests: humans, cultures, the environment, and the connections between these. Growing up with Romanian parents in a diverse neighbourhood, and having volunteered with NGOs and organisations in Spain, Zambia, and France, as well as studied in Scotland and Canada, I strive to get involved with global challenges in an attempt to make improvements on an international level. I aim to work towards closing the social and ecological justice gap and am especially interested in indigenous rights. Beliefs, spirituality, and religion play a vital role in this process and the conceptualisation of environmental issues, and therefore the work of the TOU is of great importance to my interests.
