FORUM2021- Sacred Food, Blessed Earth
Sacred Food ~ Blessed Earth explored the ancient, respectful, and regenerative ways of farming practices and our spiritual relationship to food by focusing on the Earth as an interconnected web of life.
A moral and spiritual voice is essential in the transition away from the industrialized, fossil fuel and chemical-intensive, global agriculture system which is degrading our Earth, contributing to the climate crisis and to the extinction of species, as well as creating severe health issues for all living beings.

FORUM2020- Science, Spirituality, the Climate Emergency and Our Future
FORUM2020 held Oct 16, 2020, & the Global Interfaith Prayer Service for the Earth held Oct 17, 2020, were proudly held on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Temple of Understanding. World religious and spiritual visionaries, Indigenous leaders, scientists, and youth environmental activists came together to address the urgency of the climate crisis with strategies for inspired collective action.

Paul Eppinger, who led a campaign for Arizona to recognize a holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. and later was involved in interfaith affairs, has died.
Mourning the Deaths of Imam Maulama Akonjee and Thara Uddin
The Temple of Understanding mourns the violent deaths of Iman Maulama Akonjee and Thara Uddin in Queens, New York. In solidarity with these organizations devoted to interfaith education, we would like to share the statements offered by Cordoba House and Tanenbaum.
Harvard Launches Free Online Class To Promote Religious Literacy
To combat this illiteracy, Moore and five other religion professors from Harvard University, Harvard Divinity School and Wellesley College are kicking off a free, online series on world religions open to the masses. The courses are being offered via an online learning platform called edX, which Harvard University launched with Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2012.
Interfaith Service at UN CSW, 3/18/16
The Temple of Understanding is a co-sponsor and organizing partner of the “Interfaith Service of Remembrance and Gratitude” which was held Friday, March 18th in the Chapel of the Church Center for the United Nations as part of the 2016 Commission on the Status of Women.
