Meet our 2021 TOU interns! We are very pleased to welcome interns from around the world virtually this summer! During our first week, the TOU interns have been engaged in exploring the work of the Temple of Understanding and learning more about the United Nations as they begin to think about the topics they will be researching throughout the program. We are looking forward to participating in HLPF, hearing from speakers on numerous topics, experiencing religious site visits, and more over the next few weeks!
Isha Gupta, USA
Hi! My name is Isha Gupta, and I am 19 years old. I am from Michigan, and I am a rising sophomore at The George Washington University in DC. I am pursuing a major in International Affairs with a double concentration in international politics and economics. I have always had a passion for international issues and working at the United Nations. Growing up in America with an Indian heritage has provided me with a unique international perspective and drive to explore international conflicts. In high school, I was able to found a non-profit organization called the Manjula Gupta Foundation in an effort to resolve educational inequalities for women in the United States as well as around the world. I am eager to explore the UN, educational equality, and gender equality and to learn about many other international issues with TOU!
