Johanna Friman
My name is Johanna Friman, and I am from Sweden. At the age of sixteen, I was an exchange student in the outback of Australia for a year, and last year I lived in South Africa and worked in the townships. My life experiences have developed my personal goal of wanting to make a positive impact in this world. With determination and joy, I believe this program will be the next natural step for me in reaching my dream. To make this world a better place, I believe that exchanges between countries is a key factor. I am very interested in how this world is built and why countries develop so differently.
I want to find the answer to what the main factors for a successful country are. After my time in South Africa, my interest for the African continent has grown. It has the most natural resources in the whole world, but is the poorest continent. What went wrong, and what could be done to fix it, are questions that I want to be able to answer.
