Rev. Paul B. Raushenbush: President and CEO, Interfaith Alliance

Rev. Paul Brandeis Raushenbush is President and CEO of Interfaith Alliance. An ordained Baptist minister, Rev. Raushenbush is a longtime leader in the interfaith movement and a renowned advocate for civil rights and religious freedom. He brings a unique perspective shaped by his own interfaith background—he is the great-grandson of the first Jewish Supreme Court Justice, Louis Brandeis, and the great-grandson of Baptist theologian Walter Rauschenbusch, a key figure in the Social Gospel movement.

Rev. Raushenbush has dedicated his career to forging alliances across diverse faiths and beliefs to build a resilient and inclusive democracy. Frequently sought after as a speaker, he has delivered keynotes and commentary at major institutes and in national media, including CNN, MSNBC, NPR, CBS, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the BBC. He is also the host of the weekly podcast and radio show “The State of Belief,” featuring conversations with leading voices at the intersection of religion and democracy.

His previous roles include Senior Advisor for Public Affairs and Innovation at Interfaith America, Senior Vice President at Auburn Seminary, founding executive editor of HuffPost Religion, and Associate Dean of Religious Life at Princeton University. He is the author of two books and numerous essays on faith in public life.
