TOU at Parliament of the World's Religions

The Temple of Understanding, as a UN Department of Global Communication accredited NGO, offers this information about UN humanitarian efforts in the Israel / Gaza crisis.

We pray for the continuation of truce and for ceasefire.

According to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres,

“The parties to the conflict — and, indeed, the international community — face an immediate and fundamental responsibility: to stop the inhuman collective suffering and dramatically expand humanitarian aid to Gaza…

The way forward is clear.

A humanitarian ceasefire. Now.”

Tor Wennesland, the UN Special Coordinator Middle East Peace Process has issued this statement, including urging the parties to exhaust every effort to achieve an extended humanitarian ceasefire and pursue a more peaceful future.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has issued this “Flash Appeal” for the funds needed to begin to meet critical needs for the millions of people in the Occupied Palestine Territory

We stand with other interfaith organizations in calling for peace, respect for human rights, humanitarian aid, and more.
