Child Advocacy

Recordings to Rescue Children

We are pleased to announce the sponsorship of a new project, DirectGrace Records, whose mission is to save children in India, Kenya and around the world from all forms of child abuse, child labor in particular.

DirectGrace Records is an elegantly simple concept: a ruby stylus cuts a groove in a lacquer master record, and a vulnerable child’s life is saved. The gift, a grace note of the music; the concept, helping children in extreme poverty while creating a thing of audible beauty is the invention of audio engineer Peter Ledermann, president of the Soundsmith Corporation.

The full profits of each high quality record sold will go to organizations that serve children, around the world as well in as the US, who are at risk from physical and mental abuse, trafficking, and child labor. Peter’s efforts, as well as the donation of time from each talented musician who dedicates their artistry to make an audiophile recording, make a difference through DirectGrace Records — a non-profit endeavor where the elegance of beautifully recorded music can give a future to a child.
